What does that mean for DC Residents and it’s Businesses?

The stay-at home order has been lifted for District residents. Residents should abide by the social distancing protocol at all times while in gathering and inside businesses. Face coverings should be worn and six feet distancing from others should be respected. Gatherings are limited to no more than ten people including group church and worship.

Public area spaces are officially open. This includesp arks, tennis courts, dog parks and fields but public pools, recreational centers and playgrounds remain closed. No contacts sports on fields are allowed.

Phase 1 allows restaurants to resume outdoor dining, barber shops and salons to open by appointment only with no indoor waiting allowed. Outdoor restaurant seating should permit no more than six at a time per table. Barbershops and hair salons make take customers by online appointments. Non essential retailers make offer curbside sales (online) and pickup. Child care may offer services for essential workers only. Gym, saunas, clothing stores, hookah bars and florists still remain closed.
