Georgia Avenue Family Support 20th Anniversary Soirée - D.C. Lights, D.C. Nights, 20 Years Standing and Shining in Ward 4

The Georgia Avenue Family Support Collaborative (GAFSC) has been proudly helping the District of Columbia (DC) Ward 4 Community for 20 years. GAFSC supports children, youth and families to become healthy, empowered and connected in a multi-cultural community. Our programs focus on the provision of community-based child welfare services, youth-centered programming, and we also assists DC families transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.

In celebration of these 20 years, we are pleased to announce our upcoming Anniversary Soirée - GAFSC’s D.C. Lights, D.C. Nights, 20 Years Standing and Shining in Ward 4.

This event, while celebrating 20 years of service to the many children, youth and families in Ward 4, is also critical to raise funds necessary to help sustain and advance essential services needed by our most vulnerable citizens. Our Soirée will feature the great support of several DC restaurants whose chefs will be on site to provide distinctive dish samplings for this walk-around, tasting style event. We are most fortunate to have Ellen Kassoff Gray serving as Restaurant Chair, with the support of Chef Todd Gray, Co-Owners of Equinox Restaurant, EST 1999. Just in, Council member Brandon Todd will present a Ceremonial Resolution to the organization during the event!

GAFSC’s D.C. Lights, D.C. Nights, 20 Years Standing and Shining in Ward 4 will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The location of this event is the historic Lincoln Cottage, which is located in the Petworth Community and will be available for touring on the night of the event. Tickets, as well as Event Sponsorships for this event can be purchased by going online at:

We are asking individuals and business owners to help GAFSC continue to make an essential and positive difference in the lives of those in Ward 4 who need it the most. We envision a diverse community where individuals and families prosper, are invested, self-reliant and live safe and healthy lives. At its core, GAFSC is just people helping people. Won’t you join us?
