  • The indie Americana band Swerve livens it up at Moreland's Tavern 4:30-6:30 p.m. 5501 14th St NW

  • Hedzole celebrates Ghanaian Ayekoo! Experience the night market with street food, music, face painting,  and handicrafts from Western Africa. 5-10 p.m. 5505 Colorado Avenue NW

Node 4: Kennedy St NW at 7th St NW

  • Open house and exhibit of the art of Manju starting at 5 p.m. with a break for a free yoga class 6:30-7:30 p.m.

  • Home Rule Records curated this 700 Kennedy Street node and they start it off with DJ spins! 5-6:00 p.m. 713 Kennedy St NW

  • ANXO Cidery/Brightwood Pizza & Bottle and Everyday Sundae will host multiple events from 5-9:30 p.m. at the 700 block of Kennedy St NW:

    • Community canvas painting for kids of all ages led by Leonina Arismendi! 5 p.m.-Dusk

    • Catch the Crush Funk brass band performing from 6:00-7:15 p.m.

    • DJ spins from 7:15-8:00 p.m

    • Rock n’ Roll with Lex Loco from 8-9:30 p.m.

Petworth Corridor

Node 1: 800 block of Upshur St NW and 4200 block of 9th St NW

  • Visit the Petworth Main Street information table. We’ll have DJ tunes from 4:30-10 p.m. and balloon art for all from 5-7p.m. 851 Upshur St

  • Flowers by Alexes will hold a flower arranging workshop, adult coloring, and music. 5:30 p.m. 851 Upshur St

  • Join the Kids Art Zone to paint a community masterpiece and a STEAM activity with Petworth Arts Collaborative and Petworth Peanuts (BYO smock!). 4:30-6:30 p.m. Upshur St and 9th St, DPR Triangle Park

  • ETA Cafe will display the art of Ade Innis 4:30-8 p.m.

  • We’re painting the town red… and yellow, green, blue with seven live painters on the 800 block of Upshur St! See DC’s best as they create unique pieces: Lynch Got Lost, Renee Chris, Jahru, Luther Wright, Art by Alexi, Tarika Campbell, Ohey Lil Art. 5-10 p.m.

  • Enjoy energetic performances by Los Rumberos, led by Cuban master drummer, Roberto Dominich, the group is made up of people from around the globe! 5:30-8:30 pm 829 Upshur St NW

  • Art of Noize welcomes the “Skin Deep” exhibition featuring work by Artists Candice Tavares and Vanessa Villarreal with a new exhibit from 5-9 p.m.  821 Upshur St, alley

  • Join Mary’s Bar & Grill to celebrate art and Hispanic Heritage Month with Mariachi music from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. 4231 9th St NW

  • DJ Soul Call Paul will be spinning the beats at Neptune Room from 9 p.m.-12 midnight
